 The night ended with the kids checking out their loot on the kitchen floor. Cameron was literally laying on the floor, chewing candy with his eyes closed. Oh, what a night!

Dress Rehearsal

In preparation for Halloween tomorrow, the kids have ramped up their SUGAR! consumption. They've also tried every costume combination possible. Tomorrow will be a hoot!

Also, Big Bear (clever name, right?) will be hosting the stuffed animal party . Of course, there will also be a street party. Can’t wait!

Cameron asked if he’s going to be a little orange man when he grows up. I can only assume he means an Umpa Lumpa. God, I hope not!

Pumpkin Patch, Round 2

Early Sunday morning, we found ourselves at the Pumpkin Patch, yet again.

 It was a sunny, beautiful day, with some stinky animals.

 Of course, there was a maze,

ahem...horse-back rides,

 screaming good times w/ Braxton,

 silly faces,

 super silly faces

 pumpkins for all,

 and hayride songs. Good times at the pumpkin patch.

Car Talk

The following lovers' quarrel was overheard on the way to school today.

CAMERON:  I'm not Miss Karen's boyfriend anymore.
LEIGH:  Cam-o I'm dumping you.
CAMERON:  No you're not. You're always changing your mind.
LEIGH:  I'm dumping you.
CAMERON:  No you're not.
LEIGH:  Yes I am.
CAMERON:  No you're not.
LEIGH:  You talk too much.

Sleep Over

Jackie spent the night at the Messicks, so CamO and Lu Lu took over her bed.

This lasted until about 2am, at which point both CamO and Lu Lu fell out of bed. At least they both have their blankies (AKA dit and mankie).

Pumpkin Carving: Round 1

Pumpkin season has arrived. And since there will be more trips to the pumpkin patch, the kids decided it was time to carve the first batch.

 Jackie meticulously drew out her plan so DaddyO could carve it to spec.

 As befitting the male sort, Cameron and DaddyO used a drill to make the 4 eyes in CamO's pumpkin. Why use a knife when you have power tools?

Jackie enjoyed baked pumpkin seeds from their first booty of pumpkins.

You know it's bad when the pharmacist says "Allison, you have sick kids again!?" Yes, Polly, the Sick Season has just begun at the Paul house.

Jackie was diligently looking through the gazillion Halloween costume magazines that magically appear in our mailbox on Oct 1 when she said "Look Mom! You can wear a Halloween costume too! They have costumes for little kids AND old people!" Awesome.


Cameron asked me tonight how many people there are in this whole world. I said "About 7 billion". Cameron replied "I think there are 100. Maybe 200."
