Magic Kingdom

We finally made it to the Magic Kingdom where there were parades and shows everywhere. The lanyards around the kids' necks had all their trading pins and their identification, just in case someone got lost.
It was fun to see all the classic characters

and cool off in the heat of the day. Unfortunately, Lucy didn't make the size cut offs for a handful of the rides so we rotated the adults who sat out with her for a spell.
We all enjoyed the train that takes us around the entire park. Had we planned better, we could have eliminated half our walking.

Traveling through pioneer land.
While the kids (grandparents included) shot all the targets in the Buzz LightYear ride, I had my camera shooting them.
The evil Zurg was finally captured at the end of our ride.
We were conveniently on Main Street when a few parades started. We were literally right next to the characters. I can't imagine how hot those costumes must have been. It was literally 93 degrees that day.

We came back to the castle for the princess show, but only got a snipit of it due to the rain.
That didn't stop us from suffering through the heat and rain to watch ANY princess show.
We all got to ride the race cars. And the kids were our drivers for a change.
There was a grin on these faces all week long!

Epcot

We spent the day at Epcot meeting as many characters as we could find, exchanging pins with cast members....
Riding all the cool rides, like Nemo and Soarin'...
and we made it to the amazing fireworks after a nice long afternoon break. I wish I had taken pictures of the three kids asleep in the baby jogger the instant the fireworks were over. We have one tired bunch of babies!

Hoop Dee Doo Revue

Last night we went to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. And after 30 years, the show was exactly as I remembered it!
We had prime seats and the performers danced around our table all night. It was so cool.

Magic Kingdom and Princess Party!

Lucy's first trip to the Magic Kingdom!
Grandma Holly, Lucy, Jackie and I had lunch with the princesses at Cinderella's Castle. It was the highlight of our trip thus far!

Animal Kingdom

I'm having difficulty uploading pics to blogger without distortion. In the interest of not getting backed up on Disney blogs, I'm uploading the pics anyway and will go back and repost when the pics are no longer distorted. So....
Here's Animal Kingdom, home of the dinosaur-eating dinosaurs. And a very scary ride for both Jackie and Cameron (Lucy didn't make the size cut-off).

My favorite ride of the park was the African Safari where you literally get driven through the Serengeti on a ROV. There were even hippos, crocodiles, lions and ostrich's.
There were also termite towers. This one must have been 12 feet tall!
The Lion King show was a welcome respite from the heat. It was a brief Broadway show we all loved.
Awesome pic, right? We're so incredibly hot. Take our damn picture already! The Tree of Life was truly amazing. We were just too hot to enjoy it.
Morale of the trip to Animal Kindgom: go before late May.

The Whole Gang

We spent the day at Hollywood Studios. There's over 250 pics to go through, so I thought I'd just post one.. or two...

Downtown Disney & Legoland

The kids and I got a little shopping out of the way while Daddy was hard at work.
Lucy spotted these princesses from across the street!
We headed off to LeogLand for our first park of the week. It's well suited for the younger kids and they can ride nearly everything.

Yeah, the littles really should learn to obey The Bird. Should just might be a shark!

How cool is this guy-all made of legos?

Again, all made of legos!

Guess what this triceratops is made of?

Kid-powered rides. How cool is that?!

The kids got their driver's license after the LegoLand driving school. Cameron passed with flying colors. Not so for his sisters.

Lucy also had a few choice words for the little boy that got tired of her pokey driving and ran into her.
And this is what a day at the parks does to the kids. :)
