Hilton Head Island

We've acclimated back into the real world after 2 weeks in FL and a long weekend in HHI. Oh the life! 

 We had an overcast week in HHI with a few showers here and there. It was a welcome change from the burning sun of FL. The kids spent much of their time on the beach chasing these little crabs. They would collect as many as they could, then release them and catch a bunch more.

 Lucy collected shells and leaves. I can't tell you how many shells and leaves I have recently washed b/c they are in every pocket of her clothing.

 Cameron mastered the boogie board on belly. He didn't venture out too far once he learned there were sharks in the ocean.

 Lucy spent more time in the water than ever before! It's wonderful to see her warm up to it.

Catching up with the Babst's

We spent the day on the beach with the Babst family: Rob, Amy, Celia (12), Phoebe (9) & Annabel (6).

 The girls made fast friends and it was so great to spend time catching up with Amy.

 The kids found this piece of drift wood and watched the barnacles.

 They decided it was their mission to rescue to barnacles and keep them alive. Great entertainment for nearly 2 hrs!

 After the beach and lunch, we headed to the pool for some more fun together.

 Lucy and Cameron were attached to Celia most of the day.

Pool party with new friends

We visited a few friends while we were in Florida.

 They had their very own pool, and the kids made fast friends.

 Scott entertained the masses with his board tricks.

 Dave's friend from speedskating days, Scott Zenoni, and his step-kids were fantastic hosts! Scott begins his residency in general surgery. Congrats, Scott!

The Princesses

One of our favorite things about Disney was meeting the new princess, Merida (Mare-ih-duh) and Lunch with the Princesses.

Lights, Camera, Action! Stunt Show

One of my (and Cameron's) favorite things at Disney was the Lights, Camera, Action! stunt show. Here's some highlights.

 The stage, bad guys (black cars) and good guy (red car) in the CHASE SCENE. So chiche but so cool.

 Guess who made a surprise visit?!

 Mater and Lightening conferring. (Mater is on the TV screen).

 Yeah, it's pretty cool, CamO.

 We saw how they do these stunts and it was equally as cool as the stunts themselves.

 From road, to water.

 Of course, there's fire! The kids were so concerned this guy was burning.

 It was really, super cool! (But it was hot).
