Lovin'
Jackie's been writing notes lately to all her grandparents about how much she wants them to come back and visit. She obviously enjoyed her time with Grandad and Grandma Holly!

The Zoo in 2 days
When you are 10 months, 2 yrs & 5 yrs, you can only see 1 continent in a day. Really, I can only push and/or carry 3 kids to 1 continent in a day. So Monday, we went to Africa. According to Cameron, "It was awesome." Jackie spent much of the time loving on Lucy or carrying her around. Then J rode in the stroller the remainder of Africa b/c her legs were sore from all the carrying. Oh, cry me a river, sister!
My baby boy is still 2 (for another week).
It's a different pace with Hunter and w/o Cameron. We spent a lot of time trying to catch tadpoles and listened to the ENTIRE presentation about alligator skulls, snake skins and turtle shells.
And, despite the incessant fighting and diarrhea jokes, these 2 are still BFF!
My baby boy is still 2 (for another week).
This is when I discovered Jackie had no underpants on with her skirt. So proud!
In case you're wondering, CMan DID have underpants on.

When we got back from Africa, we told Hunter all about it. He responded with "Would you stop going to the zoo without me!?" So Tuesday, I swapped Cameron for Hunter and we went to North America. The kids got to pick which continent to go see. Did they want to see Elephants or the Polar Bear... They finally decided on North America, b/c North American cotton candy tasted better, as you can see from the picture below.

The Fourth: Part 3
The Colvard Kids! (All but 2 live on our street).

THE Grand Fireworks. When you are 2 and 5, this is THE best fireworks ever. Little Lucy got to sleep through it, lest we terrorize her unnecessarily.

The 4th of July in Three Parts: Part 2
Decorating for the bike parade. Grandma Dee, Grandma Holly and Grandad did all the work. It's good to have the grandparents visiting!
It's been so long! Like 2 hours since Leigh and Cameron have seen each other.
Olivia's and Tanner's bikes are all jazzed and ready to go.
The race, I mean parade, favors the big kids.
The scooter was not the best choice for Speed Racer.
CMan has no fear! He's become quite the little swimmer too.
It wouldn't be a pool party without the Burke boys flying through the air.
Anna Kate and Olivia's swim lessons clearly paid off. These STARFISH were practicing with Coach Michael.

Let the celebration begin!
The 4th of July celebrations began early this morning with gifts from Grandma Holly and Grandad. 
After 2 trips to the pool today, we continued to party with pop rocks /snap firecrackers. Grandma Holly couldn't dish them out fast enough to the kids.
Hunter and Cameron were serious fire cracking boys.
From high above, Lucy observed the party.
Dave got the 'fire pit' ready for S'MORES!!!
The kids anxiously awaiting their skewers to roast marshmallows and for The Grand Fire to be just right.
Leigh preferred her S'More without the marshmallow or graham cracker.
Grandad, G'Ma Holly and Lucy watched the pyro party from afar, getting reject marshmallows every now and then. Occasionally they got a discarded S'More too.
Hunter roasted his marshmallows to perfection and Cameron burned every one entirely on purpose.

Unfortunately, Bob and Spanky couldn't partake in marshmallow and fire celebrations. They celebrated in their own special way.
